There are two abiding memories for me when I visited Michael Cox’s ground floor flat in Maida Vale, early 1968, where john was staying.
The first was our inability to use the front room as there was rampant dry-rot fungus coming out of the skirting boards – and the smell!
the second was life changing to this day: my introduction to Earl Grey tea! I thought I was very sophisticated and at the time was not sure.
These pictures of Michael are, I’m sure, outside the huge sash windows which went down to floor level and allowed you to access the garden. I do not remember the dog.
Michael Graham Cox I think.
